Moab Support Forum > ICC profile Slickrock Metallic Silver
It was a name for a paper when we made the profile, and perhaps the naming has changed slightly. Every time Canon, Epson and HP come out with a new printer driver on both Windows and on Mac there are always small changes, and as a very small company it would take us more resources than is necessary to make the changes. It is a moving target.
The reality is there will be no difference in print quality, as the naming usually reflects only marketing names and not the ink density or other aspects that will affect the printing.
Happy printing!

What are my printer setting supposed to be for my Canon IPF9400 using the Slickrock Metallic Silver?

We suggest a media type of Photo Paper Pro Platinum and a setting of Relative Colormetric in Photoshop/Lightroom.
The suggested media type is listed under each profile on the download pages, and for some papers we also include a rendering intent.

I have a Canon Pro 9000 Mark II. I was able to find the profile for the slickrock metallic Pearl, but there is no profile listed for the slickrock metallic Silver. In reading the thread it is stated that is up but I do not see it listed. Will there be a profile for the metallic silver?
Thanks,
Robert Kerr

Robert et al:
We are currently working to produce a Slickrock Silver profile for the 9000 II, but unfortunately I don't have a timeline right now. The reflective nature of the paper makes profiling a difficult process, and with this printer it is proving more difficult than usual. I do have two suggestions for you to try now:
1- We have a Slickrock Silver profile for the Pro 9000. As it is a very similar printer I would try it and see if you get satisfactory results.
2- Try printing with the stock Canon glossy paper profile. Some people have good success doing this with the Silver paper.
I apologize for the inconvenience and will post an update when I have more information.

do you have an profile for the epson pro 9800

The Slickrock Metallic Silver profile for the 9800 is on the download page:

Thanks for clearing the name problem up. Just one more thing: referring to the ICC profiles page for Canon PIXMA Pro-10, the ICC profile for "Colorado Fiber Satine" refers to a media type setting of "Photo Paper Plus Luster". There is no such setting available on the latest XPS Canon driver for that printer. What setting should I use? There is a "Photo Paper Pro Luster". Is that the correct setting? Thanks.
