"All my portfolios are printed on Entrada. It's necessary that each print stands alone as a piece of art, and it's because of Entrada's weight and feel that my portfolio stands out from the rest."
Kevin,
There may be a couple factors at work here:
1- With the update to Ventura, did your printer get 'updated' to an AirPrint driver? This would remove the fine art media options from the driver. We have more information here:
https://www.moabpaper.com/airprint (you'll want to download the instructions as the image links need to be updated)
2- The Entrada profile using USFA as the media setting will require use of the Front Fine Art media feed, the printer will not print from the sheet feeder with this media setting. As an alternative you can download the profile which uses 'Ultra Premium Presentation Matte' as the media setting (UPPPM) and this will allow you to use the sheet feeder.
Thank you. I did discover the AirPrint driver issue after submitting my question. But I was unaware of the difference between the USFA and UPPM icc profiles. Great to have this info. Both have solved my problems.
Shame on Apple for creating a problem with their insistence on using AirPrint!
I'm using Mac Ventura 13.3.1 and Photoshop vers.2022, 2023, 2024. When I try to print using my P800, I select Photoshop Manages Color, and then select the Moab Entrada Profile USFA.icc but after loading the paper the printer keeps asking me to load smooth fine art or velvet paper. If I instead choose an Epson profile it prints fine.
I've noticed that in the Photoshop Printer Setup > Print settings there is no longer an option for selecting any type of fine art paper. Only Photo. What should I select here to match the Entrada profile?
Thanks
