Moab Support Forum > Juniper Baryta-- some areas too red

Longtime work printing and using Moab papers. Problem this week. Printing with Juniper Baryta Rag 305, on Epson R-2400. Using proper Moab profile. Some warm (orange/brown) faces are printing very red/magenta. Printer has new magenta/yellow inks and tests OK for head clogs. MacBook Pro Monitor is new and calibrated. Of course I can adjust images, but wondering what else I might have missed.

Color challenges can be created by a number of things- here are a couple tests:

1. Soft proof your file and see if the areas that are printing incorrectly are out of gamut. If so, try both relative colormetric and perceptual rendering to see if it makes a difference.

2. If the soft proof looks accurate, there is some issue translating the data between your imaging application and the printer. Start by downloading and reinstalling your print driver, then make a test. If that doesn't fix it, try printing from a different software.

Over the past few years we have seen a number of instances where an operating system update or program update cause color issues unexpectedly.
