I'm trying to make a custom paper for the Entrada Bright Rag 300 (a4 size) for my Canon Pro-1000 using the Media configuration tool. The problem I'm having is as follow.

On your ICC profile download page for the << Entrada Rag Bright 190/300 (auto feeder) >> Im suppose to use <Matte Photo Paper> as paper type. That works well when I just use the driver in the printer for this paper. But when I want to create a custom paper type so that i can calibrate it i can not select Matte Photo Paper in the paper selection. It will only let me select the High Density Art paper. When i pick that and calibrate and do everything. I can not select my new paper on the printer menu from the top (auto) feed. That paper can only be selected when i feed the paper from the manual (back side) feed.

Ame I not suppose to be able to color calibrate the Entrada Bright Rag 300 and use it from the auto feeder? Im confused. I have no problem with the Entrada Rag Bright 190/300/290 (manual feeder).. But it would be nice to be able to feed smal A4 Entradas from the top feeder and at the same time have color calibrated the paper. Please advice.

When creating custom media files on the PRO-1000 Canon has limited the base paper options. Because of this you cannot create a custom media setting using Matte Photo Paper. For Entrada, Highest Density Fine Art Paper is the best option from the list, but there is no way to use the sheet feeder with this media setting.
Alternately you could try one of the 'Special' paper settings, probably Special 8 or Special 9 would work, but I do not know if those are limited to the manual feed or if they allow you to use the sheet feeder. Also, you would likely need to create a custom ICC profile as the ink settings will be different than either Matte Photo Paper or HDFAP.
