"All my portfolios are printed on Entrada. It's necessary that each print stands alone as a piece of art, and it's because of Entrada's weight and feel that my portfolio stands out from the rest."
Bertrand,
Sorry you're having tone inaccuracies in the B&W prints. Because you have an Epson printer, I'd recommend testing with the Advanced Black and White mode available in the Epson print driver. Here are instructions for Mac OS:
In Photoshop:
Prepare you image
Select File>Print
In the Color Management section, Select ‘Printer Manages Colors’
Click the Print Settings button
In the print settings window, first select ‘Color Matching’ from the drop down menu
Select 'Epson Color Controls'
Next select ‘Printer Settings’ from the drop down menu
Select the proper media type (USFA, as you have been using)
For Print Mode, select ‘Advanced B&W Photo’
Set Color Toning to ‘Neutral’
If you want to make tinting or exposure adjustments, click the tab for ‘Advanced Color Settings’
Click ‘Save’, and make any other necessary layout adjustments in the PS print window.
Click Print
This should give you a more neutral black and white print. We will be working this spring to update some of our ICC profiles for better neutrality.
Hi,
I'm trying to print a portfolio of B&W images on Entrada Natural Rag 300 13 x 19 with my Epson P800. I've dowloaded the paper profile (Moab Entrada Rag P800 USFA). I'm using the Fine Art tray and selected paper directions (Ultrasmooth Fine Art) on the printer as recommanded. I'm printing from Photoshop. However, I'm still getting green and blue cast to my B&W images. I love the paper but it's driving me crazy trying to get this right. Can someone help ? Bertrand
