Moab Support Forum > Gray band on PRO-1000 with Juniper Baryta Rag 305
It appears to be an issue related to paper advance. The other setting to try is not available through Print Studio Pro, so you'll have to test using the standard print driver. In Print Settings, once you have selected Photo Paper Pro Platinum as the media setting, go to the 'Paper Detailed Settings' section, and under Print Head Height select 'Avoid Paper Abrasion'.
Also, do you see the same banding when printing with a border, vs borderless?

Any setting which lifts the printhead seems to degrade the quality too much (the files are digital renderings at 13200x10200 or 600dpi at 17x22). Gone through half a box trying to debug this. There must be some solution which also does not also degrade quality...

I've run a few borderless 17x22 tests with Juniper on the Pro-1000 here in the office and the prints are consistent end to end. I believe you may have an issue with paper advance in the printer, which is only seen on thick media. The Canon semigloss paper is about 1/2 the thickness of the Juniper. I'd recommend a call to Canon support with this additional information to get their feedback.

I am getting a single light band on dark images on my PRO-1000 at the end of the paper for dark images (the last part to come out of the printer)
It occurs in both the rear and manual tray.
It appears at the same locatation on seperate prints.
No other defects in the image noticeable up to that point.
Using Juniper Baryta Rag 305 paper with Moab settings (pro platinum as paper type and Moab ICC profile)
Printing from photoshop on windows using the Canon print studio
Tried the "heavyweight photo paper" and "standard" head height setting which lessens the effect but makes the print blurry (not acceptable).
Paper is not bent or curled, and tried samples from two diffrent batches of paper.
I don't see the effect on Canon semi-gloss plus paper (as far as my eyes can tell)
