Moab Support Forum > Entrada Rag "Flat"
Sorry to hear you're not getting good results on the Entrada. Are you printing with the ICC profile, and recommended media setting?
When compared to glossy or semigloss paper, the Entrada will appear to have a bit less contrast & saturation, both characteristics of the cotton matte surface. Also, the Canon Pro-100 is a dye-ink printer, and dye ink is optimized for glossy media, not matte paper. Cotton rag and matte papers look best when printed with pigment ink, which has a dedicated matte black ink cartridge, and different ink formulation.

Thanks for the response. You analogy makes perfect sense. If I bring the Hue and Saturation up in PS, the colors have more of a "Pop" but look terrible on my monitor. I was hoping to use this paper for my bound folio but will have to experiment with other options. Any suggestions? On a side note: I also ordered a box of Slickrock Metallic pearl...what an amazing paper! MOAB nailed it with this media...I love it. Its a bit too "loud" for a bound portfolio but my High Key Prints look amazing on it!
Again, Thanks for the help. If you have a recommendation, I would gladly give it a run.

A portfolio paper that falls between the Slickrock and Entrada would be the Juniper Baryta Rag. 100% cotton base, with a traditional baryta coating to give the paper a subtle gloss, and the saturation and contrast you're looking for. It will print well in the Pro-100. Good to year you love the Slickrock.

Good Morning,
I purchased a box of Entrada Rag Bright 190 last week. Ive installed the correct profile and chose the correct settings on my PixmaPro-100. Ive managed to print about 15 photos but find them to be very "Flat". To be honest, walmart copy paper is near identical. I have read mixed reviews on this paper. I am using the canon printing plugin in Photoshop. I am wondering if I am missing something here? It seems that this paper is not what I expected but not much more than heavyweight copy paper. Any suggestions?
