Would you give me more information about your print process? Printer model, rendering intent, paper setting.
Thanks

Was wondering if there is any feedback on this as I am having the same issue.
Printing from MAC using lightroom and moab slickrock silver pro-100 icc profile with relative intent. I have also set paper media type to "photo paper pro platinum"

Colin,
Sorry to hear you're having difficulties. I double-checked the profile for the Pro-100 with a test image against other Canon printers, and it looks correct. Does the image you're printing have a heavy ink load, such as a dark night sky? This can cause prints on Slickrock Silver to appear overly dark. I'm happy to troubleshoot with you further, you can reach me at 212-683-6990 x2214

Much appreciated, I will call a little later on today. What timezone are you in and how do I send you a sample image?

I am usually in the office from 8am - 6pm PST. If I don't answer please leave a message. You can email me a sample image to evan [at] legionpaper dot com

I'm having the same problem, looks like it is printing twice in the same pass, Epson stylus pro 4000.

Steve,
Are you seeing ghosting in your print, as though it is printing double, but just off? Or does the print appear to have way too much ink?
If you're seeing double, it is likely that the edge of the sheet has a bit of curl, and the printhead catches this edge and bumps the paper about 1 mm to the side, creating ghosting on the second pass. To check, lay a sheet on a table and see if it is flat or not. If not, gently roll the offending edge the opposite direction, and hold for a few seconds.

Thank you for your speedy reply. No ghosting but way too much ink making the print dark and murky, looks like double the ink, “No color adjustment” is selected in the print driver, Photoshop Manages Color, MOAB Slickrock Metallic Silver 4000 PGP.icc selected, relative Colorimetric. Black Point Colorimetric checked. Epson stylus pro, Win 10, Photoshop cc.
The paper is severely curled, I have to roll it backwards and watch it or else it will jam exiting the printer. The first attempt, the sheet jammed, buckled and pushed against the printhead stopping it cold. This is a separate issue from the very dark prints.
If I print the same image using the printer’s profile for Premium Glossy Photo Paper (250) I will get a print that works but is flat and a little washed out. Interestingly, there is no deference in the dark prints with the print preview turned on or off.

Trying Metal for fist time. Profile is printing severely dark. Same for PDI print. All settings correct. Ideas?
