Moab Support Forum > Can't print with Epson 3800

Hi there!

I bought the MOAB Sample Box because i want to find out wich paper I like most to print my new portfolio. I like the 12x12 format, so I'm interested in Entrada Bright 190, Natural 190 and also Lasal Photomatte. Unfortunately I can't print on any of these papers. What did I do:

Downloaded the profiles and put them in the right place on my Mac computer (yosemite 10.10.5)
I use CS4, and followed your instructions about the way the color profile should be selected when printing

When I push the print button I can see the printjob in the printque of my Epson 3800 for a few seconds. Then it is gone without giving any message at all.

To find out what's wrong I did the following:
- de-installed all the printerdrivers for the Epson printer en installed the latest drivers from de Epsonsite to be sure i got the newest versions
- i can print on Lasal Photomatte if I select a Epson profile, of even a complete other profile from Fuji, the print doesn't look good, but that is understandable, but i can not print on Photomatte with the corresponding profile!
- i can print on Moenkopi Kozo which is also in the box, and I can print it with the Moenkopi Kozo profile, so that seems to work

I spend the whole day trying to find out what's wrong but I have no clue at all. I hope you guys can help me out!

Best regards from the Netherlands.

Jan, thank you for explaining your issue. Here are some thoughts:

* We have seen issues with any 3rd party profiles not showing up if Photoshop has been upgraded from a previous version. We are not sure why, but Adobe recommends re-installing Photoshop on top of the one you already have in place. This corrects the missing profiles issue.

* The print queue doesn't have anything to do with ICC profiles, unfortunately, and I suspect there is something else going on that needs to be corrected. Your uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver is exactly what I would recommend, but that doesn't seem to work. I would take a look at switching to a different connection type. If you are using ethernet I would try USB, and vice versa.
