"All my portfolios are printed on Entrada. It's necessary that each print stands alone as a piece of art, and it's because of Entrada's weight and feel that my portfolio stands out from the rest."
Rosemary, Desert Varnish will definitely protect against small scratches, fingerprints and light handling, however if you are needing something more industrial I would recommend looking at some of the other protectants on the market. Desert Varnish is applied via a spray can, and is more of a light duty product that is positioned for the items listed above, as well as for UV protection. I can, however, be used in conjunction with other coatings on the market.
I have read all the posts regarding Desert Varnish. I am looking for a product to protect prints on MOAB Lasal matte paper that WILL PROTECT AGAINST HANDLING. These prints are small 'tiles' mounted and hung unframed. So they need to withstand handling while installing, uninstalling, transporting, etc. Should I use another product on top of Desert? Does anyone have experience with other varnishes that they suggest for this application. I hope it is not inappropriate to mention other brands on this forum. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!! (I love the Lasal Matte for this project)
