Moab Support Forum > Chinle Digital Books in Luster or Fiber?

I love the Chinle digital books. Will you ever offer them with a luster or fiber paper?

Also, I print on an Epson 7880 and 9900. Is there any work-around to get either printer to load the smaller 8x9 paper?

Thanks for all the help.

Rick,
Thanks for the comment. We don't currently have plans to add the Exhibition Luster or Juniper Baryta to the Chinle books, but I have had a few requests for it lately, so we may look into the possibility of expanding the line in the future.

As for printing the 8x9 sheets on your wide format printers, I'm not aware of a work-around. You could try disabling the printer's auto-detection of paper size, but this would be trial-and-error and 'at your own risk', as the minimum sheet size stated by Epson is 8.5x11. We do offer the books in 12x12 if that is an option for you.

Thank you Even. I believe you are missing a wonderful opportunity to fill a photographic need. As a portrait photographer for more than 20 years, I can state that the options for printing quality albums [in house] is limited. I believe the market for luster papers to be far greater than that for matte, as the universe of photographers using these papers is far greater. In my own production facility, we will go through 200 linear feet of luster paper for every 10 sheets of matte on a monthly basis. I believe the wedding market [alone] would provide enough demand to make the venture profitable, while introducing more photographers to your product.
Thank you for your reply.
