Moab Support Forum > Printing problems on Epson 9900
Here are some tips:
--Make sure you use the control panel on the 9900 to widen the platen gap (software switching is not always reliable).
--Are you selecting the correct media type. You need to make sure to set it using the printer's control panel (as well as in software).
--Make sure the pinch rollers are clean. They get dirty from rolling over inked surface and need to be cleaned periodically. Q-tips and a **very** little amount of water will do the job. If you are nervous about this, call Epson printer support for directions.
--Add a delay time for ink drying between each head pass. The rollers may be slightly smudging the ink and thus causing roller marks.
-- Another thing, perhaps it is the printer and the way it was set at the factory...the 9900 suction is notoriously strong.
If the above suggestions don't work, perhaps a call to an Epson technician is in order.

We recently tested various Moab papers (rags, luster, matte) and have had no issues with our 9900. The printer is new with roughly 400 feet of 24&44 roll Epson Luster through it. We ran the tests using bidirectional, quality settings. We used the standard Moab profiles.
Just offering a data point for you as no other 9900 users replied.
Good luck.

I am using an Epson 9900 and the prints all have roller marks after running through the machine. I have attempted to vary drying time from instant to 3 hours and the result does not change. In addition, I have adjusted the printer suction to each setting between Low and High.
