Moab Support Forum > Epson R2880 Entrada Bright ICC Printer Fail

Hello,

I'm using Entrada 190 Bright on an Epson R2880. I installed the Entrada ICC profile and the print driver now fails. The driver initializes the printer and then quits. No error message. When I go into print settings and return to printer controlling color the full Epson print controls do not return.

I am running OSX 10.8.2 and Epson Driver Utility 9 with CS4.

Any thoughts?

K

Kevin, have you re-installed the latest printer driver? Epson does update them quite often, and we have found that always having the latest print driver helps solve issues at this level. ICC profiles shouldn't affect the printer driver in any way, as they aren't related in functionality.

I am having an error message using the same ICC and Entrada Bright 190 rag. The error is telling me the paper does not match the proper settings... I 've tried "sheetfeeder" and rear feed... I've printed on the Entrada Natural, 190 before, with no problem... could this be a driver issue also.

David, it doesn't necessarily sound like a driver error. Are you using our recommended media type setting when printing? Velvet Fine Art is our recommendation.

In reference to the Entrada bright rag, whenever I print out on the R2400 Epson, using their
recommended media (premuim prersentation matte), quite often I'm noticing a prcular tinting if
you will in the blacks,. For instince I'm working on a project of a Tia Chi (Yoga) group of individuals under a daylight difused lighting. All, or most all wear black leotards which shows a
normal amont of detail after tweaking it up in photoshop. To me it looks great on screen, but
somehow is way off target after its printed out. Should I be using photo black which I'm
currently using or the Matte black?
Appreciate you feedback. Thanks
