Moab Support Forum > R3000 5x7 and 4x6 feed problems

Dear Andy,
I spoke with you a year ago.....

Still LOVING my Entrada paper, but since my demand for 4x6 and 5x7 prints has increased so has my frustration over not being able to 'sheet feed' these small papers efficiently/quickly. I try over and over and the grabbers don't grab it. (loosing my profit from the time it takes to load them) I've sheet 'cleaned' the grabbers. Also, I know this machine is built for larger papers. I've tried to strategically place these papers in the sheet feeder one at a time, but to no avail.

Do you have a solution? I don't really want to buy a separate printer just for the small papers, but wondering if that's my most effective option?

Let me know if there's a better way to feed this in a timely manner. (Would the 300 gsm feed better than the 190?)

All the best,
Holly

Holly, I hear your frustration loud and clear. Some printer models just work like a charm with small sheets and others less so. I am speaking of unit to unit variation, not model # to model #. I am glad that you have cleaned the rubber rollers, which can get less grippy over time. A quick dab of rubbing alcohol can rejuvenate them to like-new condition.

Are you placing the sheets in long ways or short?
