Moab Support Forum > Platen Gap with Epson 3880 and Entrada Rag Natural 300

I am in the process of creating custom ICC profiles for my Epson 3880 Stylus Pro inkjet printer, as I believe that this will give better results than the Moab standard ICC profiles for a generic 3880 printer. Please can you advise the correct setting for the Platen Gap? I see that you recommend an Epson Media Type of Ultra Premium Presentation Matte, and given the paper thickness of 0.57mm (22.5 mil), I am assuming a wider platen gap may be appropriate. Thanks.

Ian, we haven't seen any issues at all with the automatic platen gap setting for that media type with Entrada 300gsm papers, but if you were to see any scuffing from the printhead you can always increase it to 'Wider' and then to 'Widest' if needed.

Thanks Andy.
