Moab Support Forum > General question about amount of ink being laid down by my printer

I'm wondering between all the media settings, which ones lay down the most ink during printing, inclusive of all papers, both for pk and matte k inksets. Best, david

You will have to work with Epson to gain this information, as we don't have specific knowledge of ink limits for each media type. When we make our own profiles we are looking for the best balance between ink limits, ink pooling, DMAX and an overall linear response. If too much ink is put down the DMAX actually goes backwards, which isn't a good thing. The more linear the native response, the easier the job is for the ICC profile. The more heavy lifting an ICC profile has to do, the more support requests we get because of side effects that aren't ideal.

I hope this helps-
