Moab Support Forum > Anasazi Canvas Profile for Pixma Pro-100

Hi,

I just purchased a new Canon Pixma Pro-100. I also have 3/4 box of Anasazi Canvas that I'd like to use with the printer. Any chance that you've got a profile in the works for the Pro-100 / Anasazi combination?

Jeff-

We have had some challenges with the loading of heavier / thicker media, such as our Anasazi Canvas product. We have been in touch with Canon support to see what we can do to make for easier loading of the canvas and are waiting on a solution from them.

kind regards,

Is there any update regarding the best profile to use with the Pixma Pro-100 and Ansanazi Canvas?

Greetings,

I just saw the canvas paper at Photokina and I really love it. But I see that there is a problem using it with my Canon Pro 100. Any update on this? I would love get some.

Thanks..Sam

Sam, we have a profile that is now available and ready to download! Head on over to the Canon PRO-100 ICC profiles download section and give it a try.

So I have both the canvas and metallic silver on order. One follow on question; On a Mac and PS CS6, is it better to use the Canon automation tool (Print Studio Pro) to process the print or just select File/Print? I've been using Print Studio Pro to print to the Canon papers and it works great. It has the ability to directly select the ICC profiles that I downloaded and installed from Moab. I can try both options but if there is a preference out there it would save me some paper and work.

Thanks!

Excellent question. We don't have any experience using their Print Studio Pro product, but we have faith that it works well and that you make also like it. It is a personal decision what you use, but the results should be identical when it comes to the actual prints.

Thanks. I'll give it a try when I receive my paper and post some feedback.

I just tried my first sheet. It worked out very well. I used the Canon Print Studio Pro add-in with PS CS6 (under File->Automate). Settings were;
Media Type: Matte Photo Paper
Size: A3+ 13"x19"
Printer Profile: MOAB Anasazi Canvas
I love the output. The canvas works beautifully.
There is room for improvement, though and it has to do with the packaging. The plastic cover and the box, caused some light curl at all 4 corners of the pages. The curl caused the print heads to drag a bit for the first and last few seconds of printing. This caused some smear on the leading and trailing edges of the print. I could hear a slight ticking noise when it was dragging.
I think if the paper were more tightly compressed inside the box, and the plastic wrapper were a bit softer it might prevent the curl. I will try using a boarder to avoid printing so close to the edges. But hopefully this is useful feedback.

Thanks..Sam
