Moab Support Forum > Nice.... until the end of the roll
Hi Herbert, What paper are you using? Can you also let us know the lot#? Thanks!

17'Slickrock Pearl lot no 1131. I also have a newly used roll of the 24' Slickrock lot no 1219 thats ready to hit the round file if you tell me the termination is the same

I had the same issue with a 24" rol of Entrada Natural. It jammed the printer and kept ramming the head back and forth until the image was done. A huge mess. Lucky that it didn't damage the heads. Very disappointed in quality control on Moab Paper. Can't tell you the roll info as I am on the road now. A single stri of tape that gives way when the roll reaches the end would be WAY more helpful.

You would think they would have things like this worked out before putting their product into production. A premium paper that per roll cost a literal 5 times the cost of a plain paper should have quality assurance built into it. Imagine that paper jam, but the printer rolling out a 50 inch print with the jam beginning at the 2.5 inch mark :(

Just to update you that we are conducting further research about the tape being used at the end of the roll. It is supposed to be a low-tack tape, but from your description(s) this seems to not be the case.

Hi Marc,
I had this same thing come up with a roll of 24" Exhibition Lasal 300. When it hit the end of the roll the tack didn't release (and is on there quite well).
Thanks,
Jason

Without exception I have been pleased with your papers, so much so that I ordered 6 more rolls before finishing the first. Hammering my IPF8300 today and suddenly the end of roll hits while I am out. Here is the issue.... who the f*** made the decision to glue the paper back to the roll???!!!. I have a good amount of wasted ink DRIPPING from the undercarriage of my printer due to the termination of the roll. Way to go, will be returning the 6 rolls I bought after I finish this joyous process of cleaning out my printer
