It seems the Moenkopi Unryu 55 sheets I received in my sample box is labeled on the wrong side. The sticker says to 'print on other side', but the image prints much better on the side with the label.

Yes, you are correct. A batch of Moab samplers was released with the Unryu 55 mislabeled. Please ignore the "print other side" instructions. The side with the coating (and therefore the printable side) is rougher than the reverse (non-coated) side.
