Moab Support Forum > need info on profiles

Hi,
I bought a sample box of your paper and d/l the icc profiles for the Epson 3880. I am looking for a chart to tell me what paper settings to use with what paper for my printer. I dont want to keep going back and forth between mat black to photo black it uses a lot of ink when flushing nor do I want to use the wrong paper type or dpi settings.

Mike, you will find our recommended media types next to each ICC profile download link. If any paper has any sheen to it at all you will need to use the Photo Black ink, otherwise use the Matte Black ink. Quality settings can be set to whatever the default is.

So the icc doesn't set the ink type?

Great question. It does not set the ink type, but the media type in the printer driver does this.
