Moab Support Forum > Canon 9000 MkII ICC profile for slickrock
Thanks for your post. We expect to have this profile up soon and we apologize for the delay. We had to prioritize printers when the Slickrock paper launched and the 9000mk2's big bother (the 9500mk2) won out (sibling rivalry). Thanks for your patience and we guarantee you'll be thrilled with the Slickrock paper once you get printing.

Any idea when it might be available?

Still waiting for the profile...
Waiting
Still waiting also. Got a response on 10/14/11 that it would be a few days- still nothing. I sent another e-mail a few days ago but have not gotten a response yet.

I'm also wondering about this. I recently bought a sample box of the different Moab papers and can't wait to try out the Slickrock. I've got some shots that I think would look stunning on this paper...if only there were a profile for my Canon 9000 MKII!

This is what I ended up doing as I could not wait for a custom profile to be created.
In LR print module, I set the resolution to 300 and paper to glossy (obviously). For the paper profile, I used the Canon Pro9000 PR1 profile and rendering intent to relative. In print settings, I used the Photo Paper Pro Platinum paper selection and print quality to high. This produced a very acceptable print for me (just test it on a 4x6 print first to make sure it works for you).
Good luck.

I tried the approach on some test prints for smaller images (5x7's). They turned out great. But I had a question, considering the image is basically B&W should the image be printed as a grey scale image rather than colour?

That's a great question that I don't know the answer to. I haven't tried printing B&W yet. If I have time, I'll try it this weekend.

Hi there,
I was wondering if there was an ICC profile for a Canon 9000 Mk II for Slickrock paper. I notice that there are limited icc profiles for the Canon 9000 mk II. Is there a reason for this?
