Moab Support Forum > Slickrock Metallic Pearl profiling issues
I printed a BW on my 9500 and it looks fine. The color print made the colors almost look "alieny" hard to explain, but they were very iridescent.
Its definitely a strange paper.

Travis - where did you find the profile for the 9500? I have the 9000 and can't find the color profile any where? Thanks.

I printed the profile sheets and mailed them to Andy who graciously made them and put them up for everyone's use.
Email andy and he will help make the profile.
PS.. I did the same for the 9500 Lasal Exhibition Luster.

After using Andy's suggestion of Relative Colormetric for color prints on Slickrock, the "alien" glow goes away and they look stunning! Both BW and color now look great on this paper..
I use perceptual with black point compensation turned OFF for all prints except slickrock color where I use Relative Colormetric.

I just received a pack of Slickrock and I'm getting bizarre results with it. I print mainly B&W on my Epson R2400 and invariably the prints have been coming out looking really strange on this paper. The image is quite washed out and deep black areas look cyan. I've used both Moab's ICC profile and my own, generated with an X-RITE Colormunki. In both cases the resulting prints look awful. I'm using Photoshop CS5. I should note that in Photoshop the print preview is actually accurate--washed out and with cyan blacks. So apparently I'm getting what Photoshop is telling me to expect, but this can't be right. I'm at a loss as to what I'm doing wrong here. Any help would be appreciated.
