"All my portfolios are printed on Entrada. It's necessary that each print stands alone as a piece of art, and it's because of Entrada's weight and feel that my portfolio stands out from the rest."
Mike, the R800 and R1800 printers are exactly the same when it comes to ink, printheads and the technology to place the dots on the paper. They are completely interchangable, in other words. I can always rename the profile for the R1800 to avoid any confusion.
I will test the profile in a few moments. We haven't had a single support issue regarding the profile, and I will go test it now.
Mike, I went ahead and created a new profile, and it is waiting in the download section when you are ready!
Having just purchased a box of Moab Lasal Luster paper I went to download the profile for my R1800 printer. This resulted in two issues.
1. There is no profile for the R1800 printer. The profile listed is for an R800 printer. Since Moab has printer specific profiles for the R800 and R1800 I think the lack of a R1800 labeled profile is an error.
2. Trying to download and install the R800 profile anyway (which I think is a mistake) resulted in an error on Windows XP when I tried to install it. When installing it Windows XP complains that this is not a valid color profile and will not install it.
I have installed other Moab profiles successfully by right clicking on the .ICC file and choosing "Install Profile" so I'm fairly confident that this works. I am not simply going to copy the profile to my profiles directory because I shouldn't have to do it that way and I don't think it's the right profile anyway.
Can someone help advise on this .icc profile? As of now I'm sitting with a worthless box of Moab paper.
