Hello,

I was looking around the web for 13' roll papers for my Epson R2880 printer and discovered MOAB. I thought I found the graal and ordered a roll of Entrada Natural 300.

I got a big surprised when I received it and try to install it: it is sadly not suitable for that printer! The roll is too thick for the tiny Epson's roll paper holders: it doesn't fit inside.

Does anyone encountered that problem and found a workaround? I am thinking of finding an empty Epson roll and rolling half of Entrada's roll on it...;-(
Or maybe, does Legion Paper provide a special holder for their rolls?

The 2880 roll support is 2" in diameter and most of our roll papers are supplied on 3" cores, which is also the industry standard. However, there are some solutions, which are far easier than unrolling your Entrada onto another core.

There are a few manufacturers out there that produce a 3" to 2" core reducer. You can Google them to find a few suppliers. You'll also notice that these adapters are rather spendy.

Another option is to run down to your local hardware store and build one yourself. Here's a link to get you started:

I have one more question about that! If I somehow make 2 inch to 3 inch core adaptor do I fit the roll on the back of the printer? Is it enougt space for that thick full roll? Can you tell me how thick the whole roll is? Thank you very much.

Hi Petr,

The rolls are quite thick (about 12.5cm) and won't fit on Epson's mounts even with a 2 => 3 inch core adapter.

I finally found a solution by building my own roll paper support.

Hi David,

I simply used rollerblade wheels (because they have ball bearing which is smoother) and the white plastic part I received with my Entrada Rag Natural paper. I used a special plastic glue due to the wheels and PE parts. The black stands are simple table stands you can normally find at your local hardware store.
