Moab Support Forum > Profiles cause printer to be unrecognized by Photoshop

Hello,
We have several students that use Moab papers and profiles. Over the past month I've noticed that whenever they try to use a profile to print with PS CS4 it gives them an error that claims there is no printer installed.
When they choose a different profile, the print comes out normally.
Any ideas?

We are running OS 10.6 here and the users have network accounts.

Thanks
Seth

Seth, thank you for contacting Moab Paper support.

An ICC profile is completely separate from the printer driver and Photoshop CS4, and I am scratching my head as to what the real issue is. Which printer(s) are your students using? I can look to make sure that our profile(s) aren't corrupted in the meantime.

Are you printing over a network?

The issue occurs on both 2880 and 4880 printers. And the error occurs on systems that are connected directly via USB and systems that are networked.
The profiles for students are installed USER level while standard Epson profiles and others are installed system level.

I would repair the disk permissions as a start. Those profiles checked out ok over here, so something else is going on. We are always here to help.
